I just have to say that I talked with the Sales Manager of the newspaper this morning. He told me that the East Cascade Women's Group ad is in his top 10 favorite ads ever in the newspaper!! How's that for encouraging news? Now I am even more excited to give away a Starbucks card! Don't forget--be the first to post the section the ad is in, and the page number it's on to be the winner!!

East Cascade Women's Group Ad Contest

I am in the midst of the craziest, busiest season I think I have ever been in, but it is the most exciting, and I have no doubt that it will also be the most rewarding! I'm counting down the days until the first True North magazine is sent off to the printer, and my husband and I will be on a plane to Las Vegas for the WPPI convention! In the meantime, I'm backed up on photo editing since 13 hours out of every day these last few weeks has been dedicated to design work. But I will find the time to get it all done and get some things posted!

A perk about doing advertising design at the Bulletin is that I have the freedom to use whatever artwork I think is best for particular client (within reason, of course!) Last week I was given a spec ad for East Cascade Women's Group, focusing on pregnant women. So I pulled a photo I shot a few weeks ago that I've been loving and used it as the background. The ad easily sold without any changes, and will be running in the paper starting Thursday. When I get happy, I feel like giving things away... so the first person to leave a comment on Thursday with the section and page the ad ran in wins a $10 Starbucks card! (If you aren't a coffee person, we can work something out!)
